We all have grown up watching at least one Disney movie and compared from now to back then Disney has aquired many franchises such as Lucas Flims, Marvel, Fox, Hulu, as well as its own popular originals. Disney has grown from being a movie and book company investing all its money on theme parks, movies, tv channels/shows, and now into its own streaming service called DIsney Plus. In this Newsy article, it explains how Netflix and Hulu created the framework for streaming services and now its going to rise since everyone is familiar with its contents. 1. Hi Dillion,
Funny enough, I also did my blog this week on “Is Disney a Monopoly?” and it seems we found the same article. We did take a bit of a different route, I like that you explained that Netflix and Hulu will still continue to grow in the future because of how many people are familiar with it. I was reading that this is why Disney took so long to release Disney Plus. It makes sense but I think they still have some obstacles to overcome, for instance, older generations may not want to rewatch movies they’ve already seen and have no nostalgia for tv shows we grew up with.
